Internet.....

Internet rights!

A free and open internet is the only way to go, The rights of the people should take precedent over the greed of corporations and special interests. big telecoms would like nothing more then to inspect and filter the Internet content we access, block web sites and applications they don't like, and overcharge us even more so then the already do for using the internet.

Net neutrality opponents inaccurately claim that strong rules will impede competition by regulating the Internet for the first time. This is completely untrue. Net neutrality simply protect the rights of the people and the free Internet that Americans have always enjoyed.

The internet should be reclassified as a title 2 utility and fully enforced by the FCC net neutrality already has the backing of the president, congressional leadership, " the one's with common scenes anyway " and most importantly, millions and millions of Internet users through out the country!

We as paying costumers and free thinking individuals should have the right to decide what we watch read or post online, and when we do it!

Not the ISP's....keep in mind that without the use of public land to lay there cables and build there tower's company's such as AT&T, Comcast and Verizon would not exist, or at the very least they would not enjoy the kind of power and profit they have today, all at the peoples expense!

It's time the politicians start siding with the voter's the one's that put them into office in the first place! instead of the lobbyists and spacial interest groups, who are only interested in the bottom line!

Many network providers have tried to engage in content and user discrimination in the recent past and that will only grow without strong Net Neutrality or with weakened partial Net Neutrality, as Chairman Genachowski in visions. A few examples, ( Time Warner's AOL ) blocked all emails that mentioned www.dearaol.com, an advocacy campaign opposing AOL's pay-to-send e-mail scheme, a pathetic ploy to garner even more hard earned money from the consumers! BellSouth blocked access to Myspace.com in Tennessee and Florida. Verizon Wireless has blocked access to PayPal in favor of its own competing online payment service for shopping sites like eBay.

Without FCC authority to fully enforce stronger net neutrality rules, we may be forced to rely on the good judgment "or lack there of " of large corporations to protect our access to the internet and the diversity of political, social, environmental, and international interaction and perspectives it now offer's.

We would be forced to trust companies like Comcast, which actively
and secretly interfered with users' ability to access popular video, photo
and music sharing applications; AT&T, which censored anti-Bush comments made by Pearl Jam's lead singer during a concert; and Verizon Wireless, which
interfered with NARAL Pro-Choice America's ability to send text messages to
its members.

We need to preserve our right's at all cost's.

We can't let the corporate lobbyists and there political goon squad dictate what we can and can not do!. After all what good is free speech if large corporations have the right to stifle communications they find objectionable?

Reclassification is necessary to enshrine key anti-discrimination provisions so that users can access the websites of their choice and use the equipment they want without interference or degraded service. Chairman Genachowski's plan is a good start, but it has to be expanded to include reclassification, as well as protections for wireless Internet user's True net neutrality would mean no discrimination: It would prevent ISP's from speeding up, slowing down or outright blocking web sits or content based on its source, ownership or destination. It's time to make net neutrality a permanent law!

Net Neutrality....

I am a strong supporter of Net Neutrality and myself along with over 105,000 others have already signed this petition, please take a moment and sign it too.

This petition is to FCC Chairman Julius Genachowski, in hopes that he will take the strongest stand possible in regards to this issues!!!

The recent actions of Comcast are just a sigh of things to come.

Comcast, like other large corporations, are only concerned with the bottom line and will take any opportunity they can to raise prices on there costumers at any given time. An open and free internet is what the people truly need!! the kind we all enjoy now, and not some pay per view internet alternative controlled by corporate greed. We should all have the right to go to any legal site we choose whenever we see fit, no company should have the right to discriminate against/prioritize whatever content they choose and when.... That's why it is of the utmost importance that the FCC pass the strongest bill possible to protect the rights of the people and preserve an open internet for everyone.

Just a quick Thought....

Most people go through life wandering aimlessly about trying to figure out what there future hold in store...... Others believe that destiny plays a hand in the out come, but if you think of life as some how predetermined by destiny then that takes away from the entire concept of free will!!

Here's how i see it..........

Life has no real meaning or purpose, only that which we as individuals choose to give it, we create our own purpose, and our existence is defined by the personal choices we make throughout our lives, and how those choices in turn effect the people around us.

Just a though....

The Metamorphosis

The Metamorphosis........

A short story written by Franz Kafka, In 1915.

Kafka, who after his death in 1924 later become a world renown novelist, for his work in the early 20th century.

Kafka wrote many great works of literature, one of which is The Metamorphosis.

I first read this back in school, but have since re-read it lol.

Still an interesting read!....................

Here is a short summerier of what i took from the book.

The Metamorphosis is centered around a man, Gregor Samsa, who as a result of all the pressure's in his life, slowly begins to transform into an insect.

There are probably dozens if not hundreds of different philosophical or metaphorical metaphors we can take from this, and in part most of them would probably be correct on some level or another.

Here's my interpretation.

In the book i fill that Kafka is trying to say, that even though we look at the world in different way's, people's lives aren't always what they seem and nobody can really tell what anyone else is felling on the inside.

Well that's my take on the story.

Thank you for taking the time to read my opinion.........

Fell free to comment and share your thought's on this post as well as your thought's on the book.

Individual

Life is funny some times.

We spend our youth dreaming of what the future holds, what we could be, and what we would like to be,.........

Often neglecting the fact that time is passing by.

Continually ticking away.............

All we can do is remember the past, and look toured the future.

Our time on this planet is so short, and Life is only as good as you choose to make it.

So be an individual, walk your own path and never let others define who you are, or who you will become.

Kick Ass

Kick Ass....

Just finished watching the new movie Kick Ass for the second time.

It was an an awesome film!!

A lot of people seem to be complaining about the violence and use of foul language, but some how seem to neglect the fact that the movie itself is rated R for violence and language....simple solution if your easily offended by such things then just go to a different movie, no one is forcing you to see it, also if you would not like your kids to see violence in a movie, then simply do not take them to an R rated film....."Not that there isn't violence in every genera of film, at least to some extent"..............That being said there's a lot more violence on television and video games these days then then there use to be so chances are your kids have already seen worse then whats depicted in this movie.

The best action scenes in this movie involve the pint sized hero Hit-Girl, although there is also a few cool scenes with Big Daddy.

When all is said and done the move was pretty good, there is some foul language and mild violence but probably nothing you haven't heard or seen before lol..............

Kick Ass follows the comic to an extent though they did change a few things, but if you were a fan of the comic before, then you probably shouldn't have to many issues with the film.

and if you've just seen the movie go buy the comic ^_^

Anyway i liked the movie, and i would recommend it.

Also looking forward to the sequel!!!!!!!!

War or Peace??............

War or Peace?????

Regardless of the reasons or how you choose to justify it, war is wrong, violence only leads to more violence..

Human history is filled with conflict, one fight end's and another begins, often times as the end result of sheer greed or a lust for power......

America has been engaged in a costly war for the better part of a decade now,... costly both in human life and national funds.

Our last president was a self centered, egotistical, ass, dead set on going to war, even making preparation's for the invasion months in advance, before seeking a U,N resolution! He falsely believed he had the absolute authority to do whatever he wanted..... regardless of the facts!!!!

Now U.S. Gen. Stanley McChrystal is calling for a large increase in U.S. troops fighting in Afghanistan an additional 40,000 or possible 80,00 more troops on the ground...........

Currently it is estimated that there will be at least 104,000 U.S and NATO troops in Afghanistan by the end of this year and at least two thirds will be American.

With thousands of American and allied troops already injured or dead, and thousands if not tens of thousand's of innocent Iraq and Afghanistan civilians needlessly killed, wouldn't it be far better to start pulling out troops instead of increasing there number's????

After nearly a decade of senseless death, It's time to put an end to Bush's war and bring our troops home!!

In a few short week's President Obama will announce his decision on General McChrystal's war strategy, and whether or not there will be any significant escalation of our troops in Afghanistan.

But now you can have a say in the President's final decision by telling the house representative's to support Rep. Lee's bill HR 3699 witch prohibits the increase in U.S, troops,.....and Rep. McGovern's bill HR 2404 witch calls for a long awaited military exit strategy from Afghanistan.

Too get in touch with your representative call the switchboard at 202-225-3121 and you will be transferred to your rep or senator's office.

For more info on this matter including a complete list of Rep's. and senator's,......and to help put an end to this war check out this site.
